UPDATE CA SHOW - HANSEN DAM EQ CENTER:
Below are the requirements for horses coming to HDHP for shows:
• Provide a three-day temperature log showing morning and afternoon temperatures recorded for at
least three days before the horse’s arrival.
• Provide a statement from a veterinarian, on the veterinarian’s letterhead with the following:
I have examined the horse represented on this letter and have found no clinical signs of vesicular stomatitis. The horse has not originated from a facility under quarantine for VS or suspected to have VS cases. Additionally, the animal has not been on a facility within five (5) miles of a facility currently quarantined or currently suspected with VS.
• The veterinarian’s letter must include the horse’s name, owner’s name, and description of the horse.
• Provide the name and address of the facility where the horse is coming from, as well as contact information for that facility.
• Throughout the show, take temperatures of horses twice daily and record them on temperature cards posted at each stall.
This info will be checked at the gate so be prepared.
Current vaccination required.
