Announcement: Updates for the 2026 Season

YHS Introduces HorseSpot Entry System for 2026

Beginning with the 2026 season, the Young Horse Show Series will use HorseSpot as our official online entry platform. This change reflects our ongoing effort to modernize the series and provide competitors with better tools for managing entries, accessing results, and following competition schedules and standings throughout the season.

This transition introduces two upgrades designed to improve the experience for competitors.

YHS Annual Membership

All horses competing in the Young Horse Show Series must have an annual YHS membership created through the HorseSpot platform. This membership establishes a complete profile for each horse within the YHS system, where registration papers, proof of age, and other required information are uploaded and verified.

Once your horse’s documents are approved, they stay attached to the horse’s profile for future seasons, eliminating the need to submit the same paperwork for every show and
allowing YHS to maintain accurate entries, results, and season standings throughout the year.. The annual YHS membership fee is $25 per horse. This fee helps support the administration and tracking of horse information, results, and standings across the series, allowing YHS to provide faster and more accurate updates during the season.

After the initial setup, entries for future shows become quick and simple because your horse’s information is already stored in the system. This means no repeated paperwork and no need to upload the same documents for every show.

HorseSpot Online Entry Platform

In addition to simplifying entries and reducing paperwork, the HorseSpot platform provides competitors with convenient access to important show information, including:
  • Easy online entries
  • Live scoring and results
  • Rider and horse stats and bios
  • Ringside results
  • Estimated start times
  • Real-time schedule updates
  • Personalized dashboards
  • Digital checkout

Getting Started

To compete in YHS competitions this season:
  1. Go to the YHS Organization page on HorseSpot: https://horsespot.net/yhsorg/o
  2. Click on “Become a Member,” fill out the form, and upload your horse or pony’s registration papers. If you have already sent Megan or Catherine your registration papers in 2026, you do not have to upload them again. However, if you have not already sent in your papers this season, you must upload a copy of your horse’s registration papers, passport, or a signed show letter from the studbook stating that registration is pending for this horse. USEF registration is not accepted in lieu of breed registration papers.

Once everything is received and verified, your horse’s membership status will update to: “Active - Verified and Ready to Show”

You can still enter the show before your documents are verified, but all required documents must be received and verified prior to the start of the show. If you have any questions about the membership sign up, please email Megan or Catherine, or contact HorseSpot's 24/7 support.

Memberships are open now! Entries for the first shows will open soon.
